2020-2023 Aston Martin DBX recalled twice in Australia
Faults with the vehicle’s electrical and cooling systems could cause a loss of essential functions, according to the recall notices.
Aston Martin has recalled 278 examples of the 2020-2023 Aston Martin DBX SUV, citing multiple potential faults with the fixings for the fuse box cables and oil cooler lines.
The affected DBX vehicles for the fuse box are stamped 2020 to 2023 models, while those for the oil cooler lines are 2022 to 2023 only, according to Aston Martin.
The first recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “The fixings for the fuse box cables may not have been tightened to the correct torque.
“This could lead to a sudden loss of motive power, loss of headlights and power assisted steering, and/or loss of other essential vehicle functions.
“A loss of headlights, power assisted steering and a loss of motive power may occur if the warning lights are ignored, this could increase the potential risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”

The second notice, also lodged with the Department, says: “Due to a manufacturing defect, oil cooler lines could burst resulting in a sudden loss of oil pressure.
“This could lead to the engine stalling or an oil leak. An oil leak in the presence of an ignition source may cause a vehicle fire.
“A sudden loss of motive power whilst driving and/or a vehicle fire could increase the potential risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
